Explore Brazil through a dynamic study away experience that blends culture, business, and global learning. Students will spend time in Brazil’s most vibrant cities, gaining insight into the country’s history, economy, people, and contemporary cultural life. Through site visits, discussions, and immersive experiences, participants will examine how Brazil’s unique social and cultural landscape shapes business, innovation, and community engagement. The program offers students the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world global perspectives while experiencing the energy, diversity, and richness of Brazilian life. From urban exploration to cultural reflection, this experience is designed to broaden students’ understanding of international business and deepen their appreciation for Brazil’s role in the global community.

About the Program
Courses and Credit Offered
Students have the opportunity to earn course credit and must be enrolled in 3 credit hours to participate in this program. Students admitted to the program will earn credit for BUSA 3083 – Business Abroad: Brazil.
Undergraduate BBA students may use this course as a substitute for their BUSA 4131 requirement.
Eligibility
Undergraduate students should have junior status (60 earned credit hours) by the start of the Winter 2026 term and be a declared business major with no less than a 2.5 GPA, and no active disciplinary record with the institution. All students must be fully admitted to the institution and at least 18 years of age by the program departure date.
Space availability is first-come, first-served. A completed application and deposit must be submitted prior to being formally accepted to the program.
Dates of Program
Travel: December 5 – December 16, 2026
Students will enroll for credit in the 2026 Winter Semester and will be required to attend pre- and post-departure course meetings before and after the Winter Semester.
Students should plan to arrive in San Paulo. on December 6th. They should plan to depart from Brazil on December 16.
Program Cost: $2,850.00
Includes: All regional and local transportation; lodging for the duration of the program; tour, cultural, and entrance expenses; site visits to local businesses; insurance coverage
Additional Costs: Tuition & fees for 3 credit hours of course enrollment, round-trip airfare to Brazil, and additional meals/personal expenses not included in the program cost.
Application and Payment Schedule
Program Application and $500.00 deposit payment: Due July 31, 2026
1st Program Payment of $1,175.00: Due August 15, 2026
2nd Program Payment of $1,160.00 and Insurance Payment of $15.00: Due August 31, 2026
